What type of feeders do you use?

We use a variety of feeders to maximize the percentage of occupancy at each feeder for the variety of game that we have on our lands.  We use barrel, box, piles, and food plots.  All feeders are on automatic timers set to go off at a precise time of day, allowing us to place you in the perfect blind for your hunt.

What type of bait do you use?

We primarily feed corn, sweet potatoes, and peanuts but also include other natural feed supplements which are legal in North Carolina.

What type of blinds do you use?

To increase your chance of a successful hunt we use a variety of blinds to fit your needs.  Blinds such as ground blinds, 20 feet Texas Towers, box stands, buddy stands and many others.  Depending on the weather conditions we can place you in a blind that will keep you comfortable all day.

Are portable blinds allowed?

No, due to the higher chance of someone being hurt we do not allow portable blinds.

What is your cancellation policy?

If for some reason something should arise and you cannot come on the dates you have booked, you can reschedule your dates but it must be done within 1 year.  Hunts canceled within 60 days of the scheduled arrival dates cannot be rescheduled.  However, we will accept another group if you so desire to sell or give your hunt away.

How much money do I need to put down to save my dates for a hunt?

A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to hold your dates.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, American Express and personal or business checks.  All credit cards will be charged a 5% fee.  All money paid to Buffalo Creek Guide Service, LLC is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Are your blinds handicap accessible?

The lodge & certain stands can accommodate any handicap or disabled hunter.  We work hard to accommodate all hunters no matter the disability.

Can you guarantee me a successful harvest?

By the very nature of hunting, a kill of course cannot be guaranteed.  All of our hunts take place in the wild with no fences, but you can be assured that every effort will be made to make your hunt a successful one.

Do I pay extra for skinning?

No, we skin and quarter your game for you and we can also refrigerate or freeze your meat for your trip home.

Are taxidermist fees included?

No, taxidermist fees are NOT included.  However,  we have a very good local taxidermist that is reasonably priced and if you decide to leave the head for mounting, most mounts cost about $475.00.

I am from SC, TN, GA or VA; why is my hunting license a different price?

South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia are RECIPROCAL states. Which means that North Carolina charges the same price for hunting, as it would cost a NC resident to hunt in one of those other states.

Are you affiliated with Buffalo Creek Outfitters?

NO – In 2012 we sold our hunting camp (ONLY the land) in Bertie County to another individual.  This individual decided to name his business very similar to our Buffalo Creek Guide Service to try to piggy back off of our clients.  They have designed their color scheme and logo to look very similar to ours in order to increase their odds of deceiving unsuspecting hunters like yourself.
